Echosclerotherapy

Echosclerotherapy is an ultrasound-guided sclerotherapy procedure and is applied to target vessels, especially accessory veins, perforator veins and large varicose veins. This procedure is performed with the following steps:

The patient's varicose vein complaints and medical history are examined. The condition of the veins is evaluated with ultrasound.
Determination of Target Vessels: Using ultrasound, the vessels to be treated are identified and marked.

The ultrasound device helps the doctor see the vein clearly and place the needle correctly.
The sclerosing agent is injected directly into the target vein with a thin needle.
The sclerosing agent causes damage to the vascular wall, causing the vessel to constrict and close.
Over time, the closed vein is absorbed by the body.
After the procedure, patients are generally advised to wear compression stockings and attend regular follow-up examinations.

Ultrasound guidance ensures that the sclerosing agent is injected into the correct vascular segment.
It is less invasive than surgery and is usually performed under local anesthesia. Patients can usually return to their daily activities quickly after the procedure.

Echosclerotherapy is an effective method in the treatment of varicose veins and it is important that it is applied by specialist doctors. Patients should be in regular contact with their doctors before and after treatment and follow the recommendations to ensure successful results.

This treatment method has been used successfully in our clinic for years.
