FAQ

Will varicose veins occur again?

There is a risk of recurrence after varicose veins treatment, but this risk can be reduced with the right treatment and lifestyle changes. After treatment, it is important to take measures to support the circulatory system, maintain the elasticity of the veins and prevent vasodilatation. There are many veins in your leg. This is not a recurrence of varicose veins, but the formation of new varicose veins.

The following steps can be taken after treatment:

  1. Compression Stockings: Compression stockings used as recommended by your doctor can reduce varicose veins by supporting blood circulation in the legs.
  2. Regular Exercise: Regular exercise strengthens the leg muscles and supports the circulatory system. Low-impact exercises such as walking, cycling or swimming can be recommended.
  3. Healthy Diet: Adequate fibre intake and a healthy diet improve overall health and promote vascular health.
  4. Weight Control: Excess weight can put extra pressure on the veins in the legs. Maintaining a healthy weight can reduce the risk of varicose veins.
  5. Regular Examinations: Regular medical check-ups are important after treatment. If symptoms reappear, early intervention can improve treatment success.

Treatment of varicose veins can be effective to relieve symptoms and improve appearance, but it cannot completely prevent the formation of new varicose veins. Each patient is different, so it is important to co-operate with your doctor for the management of the post-treatment process.

The purpose of colour Doppler ultrasound is to determine this. If there is a problem inside, other varicose veins may occur. For this reason, we first solve the internal problem and then apply external image treatment. The visible veins are the ones that are damaged, and we treat these damaged veins. Of course, you may have other veins in the future. But if these are left untreated, new ones will be added. If you have a cavity in one tooth, you can treat it, just as you can have a cavity in another tooth.
