Capillary Treatment with Laser

Capillary vein treatments aim to treat thinner veins (spider veins) that become visible on the skin surface. These treatments can be performed for aesthetic and medical reasons. Here are the common capillary vein treatment methods and application processes:

  1. Sclerotherapy

– Sclerosing agent is injected into the capillary with a thin needle.

– This substance irritates the walls of the vein and causes the vein to close and disappear over time.

– After treatment, wrapping the legs with bandages and wearing compression stockings can speed up recovery.

– Intense physical activity should be avoided for several weeks after sclerotherapy.

– There may be slight bruising and itching after the procedure, but it usually goes away within a few weeks.

  1. Laser Treatment

– Intense light energy is given to the capillary with the laser device.

– This energy causes the vein to heat up, close and disappear over time.

– It is important to be protected from the sun after treatment, as laser treatment can cause temporary skin color changes.

– Usually several sessions may be required, with a certain amount of time between each session.

– There may be mild redness and swelling, but it usually goes away within a few days.

  1. Radiofrequency Treatment

– Radiofrequency waves are sent into the capillary with a thin needle.

– These waves cause the vein to heat up and close.

– There may be some mild discomfort after treatment, but it usually goes away within a few days.

What Should Be Considered During Treatment?

   – The area to be treated must be clean and free of infection.

   - It is important that the treating doctor is experienced and competent. Wrong applications can cause permanent damage to the skin.

   – Post-treatment care instructions must be followed. Attention should be paid to the use of varicose vein stockings, sun protection and physical activity restrictions.

   – It should be checked whether there is any allergy or side effects to the substances used.

   – Some treatment methods may require several sessions. The duration and number of sessions determined by the doctor should be followed.

Each of these treatment methods has certain advantages and disadvantages. It is important to consult a Vascular Surgeon or Phlebologist to choose the most appropriate treatment method.
